Installation Instructions for Wooden Floors (Laminated Parquet & Multi-Plank)
Wooden floors such as engineered wood and multi-plank are popular for their warm, natural look and excellent stability. They are suitable for underfloor heating and can be installed floating or fully glued.
What do you need?

Subfloor (only for floating installation)

Elastic parquet adhesive (for gluing)

Glue comb
-
Stop block & spacers
-
Saw (cooling blade), pencil & tape measure

Hammer or rubber block
-
Roller (recommended for bonding)
Step 1 – Preparation

Allow the wooden floor to acclimatise for at least 48 hours in the room to be laid (in closed packaging).

Surface must be flat, hard, dry and clean .

Check the humidity (ideally 45–65%).

Follow the heating protocol
-
Max. floor surface temperature: 27–28 °C
-
Good preparation prevents movement, gaps and noise.
Step 2 – Choose your laying method
Floating installation
Ideal for do-it-yourselfers.

Use a suitable underlay with a damp-proof membrane .
-
Always maintain an expansion joint of 10 mm along walls, pipes and thresholds.

Gently tap the planks with a tapping block.

Optional: Glue the tongue and groove joints for extra stability.

Suitable for underfloor heating (provided the correct subfloor is present).
Full bonding (recommended)
For the most beautiful and stable finish.

Apply elastic parquet adhesive evenly with an adhesive comb .

Never use water-based glue on wooden floors.
-
Press the planks firmly into the adhesive bed and roll the floor for optimal adhesion.

Ideal for underfloor heating and prevents walking noise.
Step 3 – Finishing

Finish the floor with high skirting boards or cover strips.
-
Provide furniture with felt pads or protective caps.
-
Avoid large temperature differences due to direct sunlight or thick carpets.
Maintenance

Clean with a suitable parquet cleaner (no aggressive products).
-
During dry periods, use a humidifier to prevent this from happening.

If recommended, treat the floor with parquet polish or maintenance oil .
