Maintenance Tips

The Van Nuys Multiplank Herringbone Select is easy to maintain and will remain in perfect condition for years with proper use. Regular vacuuming with a parquet brush or a soft dust cloth prevents dirt or sand from damaging the oak top layer.

For weekly cleaning, use a slightly damp microfiber mop with a suitable cleaning product for wood floors. Avoid harsh detergents, all-purpose cleaners, ammonia, bleach, and abrasives, as these can damage the protective layer.

Be careful not to mop too wet. Excess water can seep into the seams and damage the various layers of the laminate flooring.

Use felt protectors under furniture to prevent scratches and place doormats at entrances to keep out sand and moisture.

Depending on the finish (oil or lacquer), the floor may require periodic maintenance oil or polish. This strengthens the protective layer and ensures that the floor retains its sleek, refined appearance.
